STRESSING DAYS AHEAD WITH AN END IN SIGHT

Kaylea Roessler, Writer

The recent outbreak and spread of Covid-19 has sparked a lot of challenging emotions. Lately, while all this has been going on, I have been stressed out when it comes to doing online school. I feel way more pressure with E-learning than I do if I was in a classroom learning. It’s hard since we are not on a specific schedule, so assignments are not due right away, like they would be in school. Plus, it’s hard when you are unable to get one-on-one help from teachers, so you don’t know if you’re doing the assignment right.

I have also been stressed out about how my grandparents are doing through all of this.  I talk to them over the phone, but it’s not the same when I am unable to see them in person to check on them. I have been coping with all the stress of this pandemic by painting more and doing some other art activities and drawing more. I also have been taking my dogs for walks more often and spending time outside, especially when it’s nice out. I have calmed down a lot by being able to be outside and not be stuck inside looking at the same four walls.

It helps that I am able to work because it keeps me out of the house from bothering my parents all the time and driving them crazy. I have also been working on some softball stuff with my dad when I’m not working. I am staying busy to keep me from stressing about this pandemic and staying in touch with everyone in my family and my friends.

Remember to tell your loved ones that you love them every day because you never know how much time you have left with them and keep in touch with your friends and check on their well being, as well. Hopefully, this will all come to end soon, and I  can see everyone that I love and miss.
