I recently visited Milltown Coffee in Moline, Illinois, and for my first time there, I had a very good experience! When my mom and I arrived, they were hosting a small indoor market, where local vendors had tables set up selling cute DIY items, clothes, and food. I ordered an iced lavender latte, and my mom got an iced vanilla chai. My mom loved her drink, and to my surprise, I really liked mine too! I was a little unsure about the lavender, but the barista said, “It’s a lot better than you’d think,” and she was right. Milltown has very good coffee and I would definitely recommend it. Both of our drinks were roughly $5 each and with a tip, we probably paid $14. I think that is fair pricing. It’s the same price you’d get at any other coffee shop around here. I also bought a box of macarons from a sweet lady for $10 and I ate every single one of them. It was fun being able to try something from both the coffee shop and a local seller in one visit.
All staff and vendors that I interacted with were very welcoming and friendly. There was also live music playing in the corner, which added to the cozy, community vibe. The only downside to my experience was that it was pretty crowded, and since the shop was filled with vendors, we couldn’t find a place to sit. However, it was understandable given the circumstances. It was actually nice to see a lot of people out supporting the coffee shop and vendors.
Overall, I had a very positive experience at Milltown Coffee and I would definitely go back. Between the drinks, live music, and local market setup, it was a 10/10 for me!
