Brews Energy is a locally owned business in Illinois, originating from Sherrard. Brews sells energy drinks and coffee. They have three buildings in the Quad Cities. One is located in Sherrard, the original, one in Rock Island, and another in Milan. I went to the one in Rock Island. Overall, the location is a cute place to stop by, get a sip, and always be satisfied.
I went after school on Monday, along with a friend of mine. We got to Brews at approximately 3:35 and it was not busy at all. There were a couple of customers, but nothing that will hold you up for long. Brews has a drive thru, similar to Atomic. I purchased one of their many energy drinks, the Gummy Shark, which includes a blend of blue raspberry, mango, and white chocolate, and a base of Rockstar. It is definitely my favorite drink. I have tried their vanilla bean frappaccino, and the same frappaccino, adding in dark chocolate syrup. I was surprised by how good the quality was. Usually, whenever you get a frappaccino from Starbucks, for example, you have some pieces of ice throughout the drink, which I personally dislike. When it comes to Brews, the entire mixture is smooth and tastes amazing.
Brews has two people working a shift at a time, one for each window. Every time that I have been there, the workers are kind and never disappoint. Prices are normal compared to every other energy drink place. My drink was 24oz and cost $5.50. They also offer different sizes of 16oz and 32oz. For my friend and I, we waited about 2 minutes for our drinks, so the business definitely is quick and has good customer service.
After we had gotten our drinks, we pulled into a parking spot because Brews is located in a parking lot. Then, we talked about our opinions on the drinks, tried each other’s drink, and agreed both were good and worth it. My friend Lilliyan got a Blue Lagoon which is blue raspberry, kiwi, and pineapple, with the addition of sour blue raspberry popping boba. In my opinion, I would, without a doubt, choose Brews over both Atomic and Starbucks because Brews’ quality has never disappointed me and customer service is always respectful. Brews is not as busy compared to Atomic and Starbucks, which definitely comes in handy, especially when I am in a rush before school or on my way to other activities.
