A nice, fresh start on a new Pokemon game that comes with so many new and old memories with it. The game is called Legends ZA. When the game was first released, there were so many reactions on how the game was illustrated and new concepts to the game’s development, even the Pokemon in the game. Sam Johnson says, “I was so excited that there was a new one. I could not wait.” This new game was something that many people were just waiting to come out. This game is based on an old one called XY, which had a mechanic called Mega Evaluations, which transforms your Pokemon into a stronger state. And, this mechanic has transferred to the new game Legends ZA with some new Pokemon Megas. “My favorite mega has always been Mega Charizard X, even though it’s basic,” says Keelony Cook.
There is also a very unique aspect called a Shiny Pokemon, which is a different colored variant of that Pokemon, and they are harder to find in the wild areas. Everyone has their own favorite shiny Pokemon that they love a lot. Sam said, “Shiny Steelix is my favorite because he is gold, and it makes it more appealing to me.” He loves how he is gold, and that makes him love the game even more.
Also, there is a mechanic that was brought into this game from a previous game called Legends Arcus, where when you come close to a shiny Pokemon, it will make a sound. “I do like when shiny Pokemon make sounds because sometimes I could not be paying attention, and I don’t get it,” says Keelony.
There is also a new battle feature in the game that has never been in any other Pokemon game. How it used to work was your character would stay in place, and you and your opponent would take turns using moves. Now, you are able to move around and attack whenever you want to.
Overall, there are a lot of positive reactions to the game, and throughout the whole game play, like you going to battle with your Mega team and new strategies to become the victor of the battle, and finally climb the rank Z all the way to A.
