Relaxation at its finest

Emily Bush, Editor

It’s very difficult to keep calm and collected in a time of crisis, such as now. But there are many ways to calm the nerves and anxiety that you are feeling at this particular time. Personally, there’s one person that has reassured me that everything will be okay and that we will get through this together, no matter what, and that person just so happens to be my wonderful mom.

I’m very close with my mom, so I talk to her about almost everything. She always has a solution to my problems or has something positive to say to help me feel better about a situation. She’s very much so my rock. Lately, I’ve been sitting down with my mom and talking about how I’m feeling that day. If I’m being completely honest, I’ve been stressing out a lot more than I probably should be.

I’m constantly stressing about losing my friends because we cannot see each other. School is a big stressor for me right now. I just feel like there is so much to do in such little time. And another big stressor is I am an overthinker, so, all of this time by myself isn’t good for that whatsoever.

As if I’ve helped others during this time, yes, yes, I have. Some of my friends have been really worried about what’s happening. I just keep reassuring them that everything will eventually go back to normal, and that we will all be alright. It’ll just take some time, just like my mom tells me.

Once again, we need to stick together, keep social distancing, and staying home if it’s not absolutely essential. RockTown can get through this, I know we can! Stay safe, and do not forget to wash your hands!
