Mariyam is currently a senior at RIHS. She  is involved in football and basketball cheer.  Her goal after Rocky is to get her license as an EMT and study emergency medicine in college. Mariyam explains that she took Journalism this year because she wanted to create memories for herself and other students.

Mariyam explains the importance of telling Rocky's stories, stating, "It means a lot to me because every student is so different and unique. It gives me a good grasp at how students bond and come together."
