Coming together

Like any other member of the community, Covid-19 has taken a toll on me. There have been so many changes implemented within society, that we have been taken out of our normal routine. I am upset that I can no longer do certain things, but that being said, I completely understand why we have taken the measures we have.

I am understandably upset that a lot of important moments of our senior year have been taken from us. Unfortunately, our prom has been cancelled, sports seasons have been cancelled, a variety of different ceremonies have been cancelled, and our graduation has been altered from its original plan. These are all important events for seniors and it is heartbreaking that these changes have been made. Not only this, but I personally miss being able to go out and shop just for fun or go to the park. I miss going to restaurants with my friends or just hanging out with my friends, in general. All of these changes are upsetting, and the fact that we will never get this time back is just sad. All of this has made me come to the realization that we take time for granted. The last time that I was with all of my classmates and teachers and friends I was not prepared for that to be my last time. But like they say you never know what is going to be your last time so make the most out of all of it and if there is one thing I will take away from this experience it is that.

Coronavirus has made many changes in our community. Some are heartbreaking but some are for the better. It has taught us many lessons and for that I am grateful. Try to look at the bright side of things and stay safe.
