Montana Hogan is a senior at Rocky. This is her first year in Journalism, and she is an editor for the program. Not only is she very involved in the class, but she is also involved in the Rocky Riveters, Chamber Choir, Drama Club, National Honors Society, and Best Buddies.

After high school she plans to go to the University of Iowa, with a double major in psychology and music. She wants to join plenty of clubs and do theatre productions while on campus.

Although she wasn’t able to spend the rest of her senior year in class, she is thankful she got to spend her last year at Rocky in Journalism. Montana concludes, “I’m not a morning person, but Journalism inspired me to wake up early, go to class, and work hard every day. Being in Journalism gave me experiences that no other class could give me, like how to interview people, take criticism, use editing programs, take photos, and use journalism ethics in everyday life. Journalism has helped me grow as a writer and has strengthened my love for writing. I’m beyond grateful that I got to be a part of such an amazing program!”
